Vehicle Stickers
All vehicles registered or housed in Rolling Meadows - including residents and businesses with Palatine mailing addresses - are required to display a current vehicle sticker. Vehicle stickers are renewed during the period of June 1 through June 30 each year and must be displayed by July 1. Residents and businesses are mailed renewal notices June 1st. The vehicle sticker covers the period from July 1 through June 30 of the following year. Please click here for a Vehicle Sticker Application. A passenger vehicle sticker is $22. Special pricing is available to senior citizens, holders of handicapped license plates, active military personnel, and antique cars. Click schedule of fees for the complete listing. Click Online Payments to purchase your stickers/tags. Vehicle stickers may be purchased by mailing in the application along with payment, or can be paid for in person at City Hall or by visiting one of the City's authorized business partners. The normal price for passenger cars is $22.00. If purchased on July 1 and after, the price is $44.00 per passenger vehicle. Please click here for a complete Schedule of Fees for other types of vehicles. A reduced rate is available for senior citizens, disabled residents and active military personnel. After the June 30th deadline, the late fee applies and drivers will be subject to a $100.00 fine for not displaying a valid city sticker. A transfer sticker must be purchased when one vehicle is sold and another vehicle is purchased. A transfer sticker may be obtained in person at City Hall and the cost is $10.00 for the new vehicle sticker. Please click here for a Vehicle Sticker Application. New Residents
New residents must purchase vehicle stickers within 60 days of moving into Rolling Meadows or Palatine without incurring a late fee penalty. A copy of a lease agreement or closing papers must be presented to show proof and date of residency. Click here for a Vehicle Sticker Application.
